"Change is the law of life". As I flash back into my life, I encounter this quote in many turns. I was born in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. When I was 2 my family moved to Birgunj due to my dad's business. At 3 my parents sent me to Jems Harvey School Nawabgunj,, India only because I was very naughty. I did miss my family and my country but songs like "kalilo tama lai sodha Aama lai" made me feel very close to my loved once in Nepal.

While in school I sang songs with my friends during functions but I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would end up as a singer. When I saw my friends play guitars I thought of playing it too but did not like those instruments very much so I stuck to singing. Besides singing I was good at painting and cricket.

When I was in class 5, I insisted my father to move back to Nepal and I came back to Kathmandu than joined LRI, Manjushree. Those days most of my friends were influnced by western music. Meanwhile i was really tired of hostel life and was very home sick so my brother took me to birgunj. I was 16 by than.

I used to watch local bands from birgunj play and I also wanted to sing but I was scared to tell them so I made my brother tell them that I wanted to sing. They asked me to sing during their practise session and I sang with my open heart. To my surprise everyone liked my voice.

"Hands on guitar" was like youth's fashion during those days. So, I decided to learn guitar again. My friend Shishir Lama helped me learn guitar and I finally managed to learn at the end. I was happy that I was playing guitar which I wanted to learn since I was kid. Then I got involved with the band form my neighbourhood. Those days we just played old nepali songs and western cover songs during tihar and school functions. After a year together Anugrah, Kshitiz and I decided to form a band and named it "Narrow Beds" We won the best music composition award in Srijan smriti music compitation which influenced us to release our first album called "Nilo Akash" in 2051.

Speaking about my college life it was full of fun and entertainment. As I was a fan of G'NR, CCR, Doors, Bad Company & Eric Clapton. I used to sing their songs in concerts. After passing out from college Anugrah and Kshitiz went away for further studies which left our band with just me. I decided to help my brother with his business for that I had to leave Birgunj for Kathmandu. Years passed but my passion for singing was still inside me.

Then I met Prashant in 2053 and formed "Karma". After 6 months of hard work we released our first album called "Sahar Timro" but this album did not do very well. It was a total failure. My family wanted me to give up music and come back to birgunj but I decided to stay in Kathmandu and start my own business. I had almost given up singing but some of my good friends encouraged me to get back to singing.

During my eight years as a professional singer I learned many lessons and had to go through ups and downs. Rajit and Ravi left the band in 2053 but Hari joined us in 2003 and we released our second album called "Hukka" in 2002. Our second album was a massive hit. It did better than we expected. Our hard work finally paid off. People started recognising us and we were very happy by the way things were going. As there is a saying "Light comes with shadow" with such happiness follwed sadness. Hari had to leave the band due to personal reasons, Rupesh and Shishir Rai also left the band but at the same time Basudev joined us as a lead guitarist. Once I did think about going solo but Basudev's passion towards music and Prashant's determination to do well in life changed my mind and we stuck to Karma. So its Karma till I die....

We would like to present our fans with our third album called "SMS". We would not have been able to release this album without your love and support. We welcome every comments or suggestions from our fans after listening to SMS.
